How do you all cope? What if you feel really sick at work or something?

He said they are very strict with absence and taken lots of holidays.

congratulations!!!
that's great news.
i work really long hours and yes, there are times when i feel a bit queasy at work, but you just make sure you have your anti-emetics etc and you'll get through.
work is often a great distraction... you know how sometimes doing nothing gives you time to dwell on what your tummy is doing.
i'm sure you'll love it and it sounds like a great opportunity.
you go girl.

Congrats!!!  That's really great news.  I'm just into week 3 of my new job after 9 months off of work so I can relate to your worries.  I found that my first week and a half were so exciting that I was just floating, no anxiety at all.  As I settle in though, I've been having some anxious nausea and that can be hard to cope with at work.  I've found that it's helpful to go to the washroom and just try to take a few breaths and relax.  Work is a great distraction and I hope that you agree and love your new job!

Hi there, congrats on the job offer, I only work part time because of my 2 children,I do evenings and weekends, I work in a call centre, so shared computers everyday, I dont actually feel bad about it because I wash my hands before starting work and after as I go to the toliet, i was ok workin there until I read a post saying that someone would never work in a call centre through germs, then I panicked, but now I have been there nearly 2 years and been ok, (touching wood)
Work does take your mind off it, but it is horrid when you feel anxious and nauseos at work, I go to the toliet and take some breathes and realise I wont be ill then I am ok!
