| If she only just got ill then maybe they have caught it early. If so her chances of beating this are huge. Also, she is young and normally healthy, and with support i'm sure she will fight this bravely. |

A PONTYPOOL mum is shaving her head to raise money after her young daughter was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer.
Beth Fairburn, 26, is having the close shave after her six-year-old daughter Jazmine was diagnosed with a Wilms' tumour on her left kidney last month.
The condition only affects around 70 people in the UK each year, mostly children under five.
Jazmine has undergone chemotherapy over the past four weeks and the next stage is the removal of her kidney in an operation next Wednesday at the University of Wales hospital, Cardiff.
She will have to undergo further chemotherapy following the surgery.
When Miss Fairburn, 26, of Mount Pleasant Court, found out about Jazmine's condition, she said it "was very upsetting and very frightening,"
advertisementShe added: "Once we got to the hospital, the consultant put my mind at rest and said the outlook is very good."
Miss Fairburn and her sister Katie will be getting their close shave at her home tomorrow afternoon, and are trying to raise as much money as possible for the Sky ward, where Jazmine has been staying, and the pair have raised around £1,000 so far.
Jazmine, who is a pupil at George Street school, was back at school this week in the run up to her operation and her school is also holding a sponsored aerobics session to raise more money for the ward.
Miss Fairburn said Jazmine was "doing really well" at the moment.
Jazmine was against the head shave idea at first, but Miss Fairburn said now she wants to join in with her mum and auntie tomorrow, adding that she has no nerves about the haircut: "It doesn't bother me, it will grow back, it's only hair."
This is a local newpaper story on them
