Aww thank you for the lovely message Gail. I do actually feel a bit better after reading it, it's good to know people understand. And yes if I keep working on my Welsh in the meantime I'll enjoy it even more when I do go.

I can't get a refund on my train ticket though :( I got them on a cheap deal but maybe if I had paid the usual fare, I could have got the refund. But it's not loads of money and I suppose I do technically owe British Rail for all the times I used to ride on the train without paying when I was younger.
