Why do I get indigestion and hiccups EVERY time I eat??

I HATE IT!!!

I have just eaten some toast and after the first bite I'm hiccuping and have bad indigestion. This always happens! My dad and brother are just the same. I never get to enjoy a meal.

Anyone else have this problem?

Hi gemma,do you eat much as a lot of us restrict our food in take or dont eat properly therefor this will cause indegestion,i used to get it all the time now i take a tablet every day for it that lasts up to 12hrs so dont get it any more, you can buy these remedies over the counter, there are several, thats what used to cause mine anyway,as i dont eat much, but if you still get it after trying over the counter remedies see a dr.cos obviousley i am not that,i hope this helps you-lv chrissy.x

Hi,

I do tend to take indigestion remedies most nights so I know about those, I don't eat that much but when I do, particularly bread, I instantly get hiccups and indigestion for the rest of the meal so I can't enjoy it!

Oh well!

Hi Gemma
Im exactly the same and no indigestion remedies seem to work.
I have it really bad now infact after eating some boiled rice with soy sauce!!
I have some strong ones in my medicine cupboard but daren't try them... as im not very good with tablets...
If you find anything that works, post!!!
