what a day!i am having the most stressful and expensive couple of days of my life.
got sent out on a job for work on monday, to a town about 35 miles from my office.
when i arrived, i met up with a photographer and we travelled about in his car till the story was done. when we were finished, i got back into my car, started the engine and after 20 seconds it died! wouldn't start again for anything. it was turning over but wouldn't spark up.
eventually had to phone the RAC. guy came out and said 'i don't think you're going to get this home. it's probably going to conk out on the motorway, which could be dangerous. your fuel pressure is way too low. there's no fuel getting to the engine'.
it's a wee peugeot 206, so he suggested i take it to the peugeot garage about 5 miles away....but that would have left me stranded 30 miles from the office/45 miles from home! and the boss was screaming for this story which i was meant to be sending him in right there and then!
eventually the RAC man managed to get the car started, but it went into 'limp home' mode and wouldn't go above 2000 revs! lol. it was a LONG journey home.
my wee brother works for ford and usually his mechanics would fix it, but this time it's GOT to go to a peugeot garage cos it needs hooked up to a diagnostic machine which will cost £60 straight away!
phoned the ONLY peugeot garage within 30 miles of me, and they said they can't take it till april 29th!!
have got it booked in to a place miles away tomorrow, but it's now died completely and won't start so i don't know how i'm going to get it there!!!
and it's going to cost "hundreds of pounds" to fix.
which i dont' have cos i just moved house and i'm SKINT!
cry.
today i had to frantically phone around trying to hire a car. they have given me a tiny wee thing which looks like a paracetamol (lol)...but at least it goes!!
what a total nightmare.
