Anyone got a Ford Focus?Hiya, me & hubby are looking into buying a 1999 ford focus in the near future & we need a 4 door because of our 2 year old daughter, Well the other day my mums neighbour (I was being nosey & noticed) came out of the house to her 2000 plate focus (which was locked & parked) and did something near the ford badge on the front grill & the bonnet came open!
Weve never known a car do this before without being popped from inside? When I told my husband he says if its that easy to get to the engine hes a little put off.
Can anyone else do this? My hub says I probably didnt notice her unlock it 1st or that she had a key or something but im pretty sure the car was locked & I didnt see her go inside the car at all.
Can anyone tell us how secure they are? Cheers,

mmm.....this intrigued me so i phoned my brother (who is a Ford car salesman(  and asked him
apparently, in a ford focus, you swivel the ford badge on the bonnet and it uncovers a keyhole. you then put your car key in there....and unlock the bonnet.
he says it can ONLY be opened with the key coded for your car (same one you use for the ignition i think).
